Temperature Transmitters

Primary Function: A temperature transmitter works in conjunction with a sensor (such as an RTD or thermocouple) to measure process temperature. The transmitter conditions the sensor's raw signal (e.g., a resistance change) and converts it into a stable, standardized signal for the control system. They are ubiquitous in chemical plants for monitoring reactor temperatures, distillation column temperatures, storage tank conditions, and heat exchanger performance.

Signal Integrity: By converting the weak sensor signal to a strong 4-20 mA signal at the point of measurement, the transmitter eliminates signal degradation caused by long cable runs to the control room. This ensures a highly accurate reading.
